I am very proud of myself for knitting the above items. I have never knitted with two colours and was very pleased and surprised with the results. I knitted them for friends and I had positive feedback from them. Thank you.

I made this for my niece. I actually finished it today. I am so pleased with it. It looks lovely in purple. I had knitted one previously in red and as much as I liked the red one I do prefer the purple one.

cold and wet today

Well, what a weekend it has been. I started my weekend by doing my housework including ironing followed by going to lunch with a dear friend. That was great. We had a fabulous lunch, a good chat and a lot of laughing was had. It is so good to laugh. I came home and had a relaxing bath and chilled for the rest of the evening. Not a knitting needle and yarn in sight. :-) Today, I had a short lie in and decided I would have breakfast in bed and watch a movie: Think like a man. Great movie. I really didn't want to get out of bed but I finally did. I will be doing some knitting at some point today. Winter warmers are very popular at the moment.  Beanie hats and cabled thick scarves have been very popular.

Right! I am going to wrap up in my lovely knitted blanket (a wedding gift from friends) with a nice cup of green tea. xx

Lovely mittens. Perfect for those cold and wintry days.
This is a lovely red cabled chunky combined hat and scarf that I made for myself. It is knitted with merino chunky yarn, it is soft, warm and lovely on the skin. I love it.
Hats that were made last weekend. First two are beanie hats for men and the last one is a slouchy beret for women.

I knitted this scarf for a friend's sister who loves it. She said it is 'amazing'. I have to say I am very pleased with it. It is the first scarf that I have knitted without a pattern. This scarf is knitted up with an alpaca and wool mix yarn. It is soft and lovely on the skin. The colour is charcoal. It took about 12hours to knit. I love knitting. I am still very passionate about this skill and it always pleases me when someone receives my knitted item is pleased and appreciates the time and effort that has gone into making it as well as the actual item.
